"Gaia come on." He pulls me back. "I'm sorry, how many times do I have to say that?"
I feel tears well up in my eyes. "Fine, I can forgive you, but we'll never be anything more than strangers with a few distant memories."
"Why can't you just give it a chance?! Damn it!" He shouts running a hand through his fluffy dark hair.
"So I can start falling for you again, only for you to leave me again. No, thank you." I tell him ripping my hand from his and walking to the door.
"If you walk away now, it's over. I'm done trying." He states.
I didn't turn to look at him. "Maybe it's better that way." I whisper.

Our planet had been on the way to destruction same as many others. However, we were able to turn it around but not without major irreversible genetic damage. It had been many years since a new female has been born on Uvis. We had set out and tried many other planets to find suitable breedable females. After much testing only one planet would work. Gaia or as the inhabitants called it Earth. We had been testing certain ones quietly. Working with their planet's leaders for a few years and have gotten the okay to reach out to the females of this planet. Everything was fine one day the next we kept losing power and then the announcements form the leaders and from an actual freaking alien! The offer was a good one for some, but could they be trusted? What would happen to the women who went to Uvis would they be treated well? Was it just a way to reduce the Earth's population so it was easier to take over? I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. His eyes drop to my lips before his mouth descends, capturing mine in an all consuming, over powering kiss and I moan almost instantly. He captures the sound in his mouth, pressing his lips firmly against my own, possessing, teasing and coaxing more gasps from within me. I'd never felt a kiss like this before; I twist my tongue against his and hear a deep groan of approval in the back of his throat. He grabs me and pulls me into his body, pressing my chest against his own, and I take the next step by swinging my leg over and sitting astride him.
