We all know stories of the Watchers. How they're all bad and actively seek world domination or something similar of the sort.
But this isn't that style of story. Well, maybe it is, but who's counting all of the evil Watcher stories?

A rewrite of one of my Hermitcraft AUs. Hope you enjoy the changes I've made both with the story and some background stuff! You don't have to read the prologue btw :)
Just a reminder that I've only seen Hermitcraft 6 from Grian's POV and that this is just fanfiction based off a silly idea I came up with a year ago! (I also haven't seen Evo yet but shhhhh I'll get to that eventually)

This is my take on And the Universe Shifts if my OC was in it in the happenings of S7. (I suggest you go read ATUS first if you haven't. It's on Ao3) In this storyline, the Watchers weren't actually killed (I'll explain how and why later in the book). And they are the only two Watchers in existence (unlike the finale in ATUS, where Grian states that there will be more coming to claim the territory). A long time ago Grian was an admin of an amazing server, but he was kidnapped from it, never to see his friends again. Then, he escaped, but everyone was gone. Now he's found a new group to befriend, but they don't trust him. Has he truly escaped his past, or is it bound to catch up to him sometime?
