It's the mid-2080's and VR is the new tech revolution. Mind-Machine link doesn't need an implant anymore, and the company behind this breakthrough became the biggest tech giant ever with the release of the first Open world VRMMORPG ever. Starlight International had a vision of revitalizing the fantasy of the entire planet and threw all its resources into creating the most diverse game ever to hit the markets. 10 Years after their announcement to challenge and change the gaming industry, Starlight International rolled out Divine World Online, a virtual reality game that changed the face of not only the game market but also every other department of the world. Boasting a full mind saturation system the game enables the player to truly experience the game as if he/she was present inside a new world. In just a few weeks the number of active players reached the 8 digit number. In a few months, it became an absolute necessity to play the game. Due to the time difference in the game of 4 days to 1 day in the real world, schools now held classes in-game for longer hours using private servers; Armies, Navies, and Air Forces have requested private customized servers where they can practice combat tactics in different environments, Companies now had meetings and practice trading techniques in-game and testing of new methods to be used in the real world has become a trend. After one year of the game's release, everyone was and is playing the game now. Everyone, but a small orphaned boy of 16 yo who is busy lifting boxes for a convenience store to get some money to buy food and survive the harsh realities of the world around him. As a former believer of myths that roam the world, Hai (ASEAN) had thought all hope was lost, as his life was turned miserable in just moments notice. This would've all changed when one day, he had decided to ditch his own kingdom recognition ceremony, he had decided to roam around a cave where it was forbidden for him to go. There he had discovered a dragon he thought was, one he thought was beautiful with its gorgeous scales and features. Entranced by it, he had formed a kinship that would've lasted. After knowing the dragon was sought for however, he had a reason to protect it. ---- Whilst on travel in uncovering the secrets of the dragon, Sea finds himself in a predicament, in a situation involving a certain crystal. The Lure -- a white stone-like crystal that glows under the submission of a linked mythical creature. Knowing this stone alone made ASEAN realize how this specific item can be misused really badly. Trying to find for it however, ASEAN would have found himself stuck inside a narrative between siblings, and childhood friends that can be broken due to trying to be perfect, and perfect alone. ----- !! Miracular Beliefs is part 1 of 2 of the actual full story. The story is split into two parts (because its too LONG i will cry with you). Tackles only Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia's stories in depth as well as the beginning of the entire narrative. Check below for part 2 once available. :) !! Adventure / Historical Fiction / Slice of Life / Magical Realism / Action Cross-posted in AO3 [ENG]
