"I live in a society where the way we are born affects the way people think about us. My society loves to ridicule, destroy and taunt those who do not think, look or behave like them. They tease those who are weaker than them. How do I know? I was weak, once I was ten everything changed. Everyone in my world gets their "ability." Or "special power" when they're 2 or 3. These abilities are sorted into ranks. These ranks mean everything, they are everything my world is made up of."

Lara Winsor is a young girl with no "ability." She has to fight to strive for her goal of being a hero. After her grandfather dies she discovers that she inherited his powers. But like every other hero, she has challenges to face. Best friends end up as traitors, allies become her biggest competition, facing the harsh conditions of being a teenager, fights with family members and the idea of becoming a villain always tempting her. As she gets closer to being a hero she pulls away from reality. Questioning herself, is this worth it? Will they be proud? Who's the real villain? And who's the hero?

But most importantly,

WARNING: CONTAINING AMOUNTS OF SASS PREVIOUSLY UNKNOWN TO MANKIND In the city of NYC--- Ok. Hold up. First of all, New York City. What, are ya gonna assume everyone here knows what NYC is? Anyway, this is about two people. I can almost hear you rolling your eyes. Another cliché teen fiction with a bad boy and a good girl? Nope. This is about superheroes. I can still hear you rolling your eyes. Superheroes. Like in comic books? Like people with super speed and mutant powers? Yes. But this isn't about the fight they have. More about the lives they lead without the masks. But just keep in mind, people who live in the world have all different skin colours. Do not assume my characters are of one unless I state them explicitly. and diversity is welcome here in my novel! Anyhow, back to the story. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. And if any of you got any of the references in this description, give yourself a pat on the back. That is a beautiful thing. And if you can name all the references in this book, you truly are a gift to mankind. Fangirl out.
DO YOU REALLY HATE EACH OTHER? (MXMXM) by Fabiolaunknown

Theodore Vales 🌸 Do you really hate each other? Because I don't think you do. I've seen hatred before. It is clean. Sharp. Cold. What you two have is anything but. It is fire, restless and consuming. It is tension so thick the air trembles when you walk into the same room. It is silence heavy with everything unsaid, every word buried because neither of you knows how to bleed without drawing blood. And yet-when you reach for me, both of you, your hands brush too close. Your eyes flicker not just to me but to each other, even if only for a second. You think I don't notice, but I do. I notice the longing beneath the fury, the way your anger is only the shadow of something deeper. You both want me. And I-I want you both. But maybe it was never only about me. Maybe it has always been about 'us'. Three. A number most would call too much. Too messy. Too impossible. And yet, in the way you breathe, in the way you break, in the way you burn-I see it. Three is the only way this story could ever be told. So I'll ask again. Do you really hate each other? Or is hate just another word for everything you're too afraid to confess? A story of rivals, longing, and the kind of love that breaks all rules. 🌸🌸🌸☁☁☁🌸🌸🌸 ⚠️ Viewer's Discretion is Advised ⚠️ This story contains mature themes and is intended for adult audiences. Just Me Against the World by FLoriannManuel

Lara has always lived in the shadows, convinced she isn't enough. The world feels overwhelmingly loud, too vivid, and far too big for someone like her. She hides from attention, avoids risks, and sees herself through a lens of self-doubt, her flaws magnified and her worth invisible. Life in the background feels safer, even if it means missing out on connection and joy. When a group project pairs her with Nathan, her confident and charismatic classmate, Lara's carefully guarded world begins to shift. Nathan exudes ease and charm, surrounded by friends whose laughter and effortless connection make her feel even more out of place. Yet, his quiet kindness and surprising attentiveness draw her in, challenging her belief that she doesn't belong. For the first time, Lara begins to wonder if maybe, just maybe, she's not as invisible as she thought. As she spends more time with Nathan and his friends, Lara slowly starts to open up. Their warmth chips away at her defenses, but it also forces her to confront her fears. She struggles with feelings of inadequacy and questions whether she's truly deserving of the attention and affection she's receiving. Her growing feelings for Nathan only intensify this internal conflict-can someone like him really see her as worthy, and more importantly, can she see herself that way? Encouraged by her steadfast best friend Bea and Nathan's quiet support, Lara begins the painful but necessary journey toward self-acceptance. It's a battle fought not against others but within herself. She starts to realize that her worth isn't defined by perfection or others' opinions but by embracing who she truly is. Lara's story is one of identity, courage, and breaking free from self-imposed limitations. It's about stepping out of the shadows and discovering that the hardest battles often lead to the brightest transformations. Will she claim her place in the world or retreat to the safety of the background?

"That's not something you mess around with." I say to her and she just rolled her eyes. "It's not like he's going to fall for it anyway." She looked at her baby pink nails. "Then why do you-" "Because," She snapped looking away from her nails to me. "He needs to know how it feels to fall in love and then have your heart ripped out of your chest and just feel like you're dying inside." She clenched her fingers into a fist. "Plus you don't believe in love anyway so it should be a piece of cake to keep your end unattached." "Yeah whatever." Monica Roth wasn't exactly the new girl but she wasn't exactly popular either. Her best friend Destiny Hamilton was a cheerleader but wasn't exactly in on the it crowd. They both seemed to keep to each other until one day the head cheerleader Madison Valentine comes up to Monica asking her a favor. A favor to play a game with the school's newest hottie. Derek Reid. Derek used to believe in love, it's what he lived and breathe for. Until he watched his mother become a slut because of it. The one thing he thought was so beautiful and the cure all to mans problems no longer exist. He became cold and heartless to anyone who didn't deem themselves worthy in his eyes. He played games with girls hearts, cause them to fall in love and literally break their hearts when he doesn't return the affection. He's just that type of guy. What makes Monica stand out from anyone else was the fact she's never been in love. She didn't believe in it, her parents never fell in love. She lives with her mom during the week and her father every now and then. It just something she's never witnessed so she didn't believe in it, to her it was just a myth. So when she gets asked to play the game of love with Derek she literally can't say no.
