"You are a courageous woman. I have chosen wisely." I couldn't make sense as to what he was saying. "come closer, come...."

I outstretched my hand and he grabbed it and pulled me towards him. I don't know if I was blushing because of the heat or the blood rush of adrenaline in my body.

  "will this hurt?"

"Yes, very" and with that a pair of fangs aimed at my throat. I couldn't cry or scream my voice had finally deserted me

Most impressive rank: 1 - Fairytale *** Casey is all alone in the werewolf world, the only family she has left is her crazy dad. her mum died of cancer, causing her dad to go crazy and start beating Casey. What's worse is that she can't get away from the violence because when she goes to school they do the same. *** I close my eyes so I could listen and smell everything in case this was the last time I would ever be in this beautiful forest. I chase away any bad or worried thoughts because this place seemed so sacred it did not allow them. I breath in and catch the sweet scent of lavender flowers that speckled the ground in little clumps and the dry smell of dirt that hadn't been rained on in a couple of day. I listen to the steady titters of birds as they fly from tree to tree, collecting little twigs and leaves to build their nests with. I listen to the buzz of the bees greedily feasting on the flowers that scattered around the dry forest floor. I open my eyes to take in the scenery, rays of sunlight filter through the green canopy, penetrating through the leaves and casting a green-yellow effulgence over the ground that wavers as the trees rustle in the light whispers of wind. The crunching of dry leaves under my feet alert me so I cast my eyes to the floor and watch as I step on each individual leaf and dry twig, enjoying the snapping sounds that echo through the near silent forest. Gnarly roots dip into ground and twisted branches reach down, fingers grasping the air, as if reaching for me and I shiver, thinking of my father. I cast my eyes up to think of something else and instantly calm as another puff of breeze rustles the leaves on the trees and ground gently. I look ahead and notice the steady thinning of the old trees and run towards it, loving the feeling of the air in my air and clothes. I spot what I think is light dancing on waters surface and sprint for it. Then I break through the trees, making it to the lake.

I felt the bed dip as he sat down on the other side but I focused solely on my task until I was done. "This is a pillow barrier. Meaning, you don't breach this side of the pillows." I instructed, my voice firm. "What if I don't want anything between us?" Phoenix said in a husky voice, and I risked a glance. Bad choice. His eyes were dark and his gaze was on my lips, to my chest, then back to my lips. "Eyes up here, buddy." I snapped the third time his eyes went down to my chest. All he did was turn off the lights. When it was dark, he whispered," Can't I admire what is mine?" I had no answer, and turned on my side. He sighed. Despite taking two naps today, I was out cold the minute my head hit my pillow. I could only hope that in the morning, the pillow barrier was still there. ***** Adira has a secret, one she would do anything to protect. She never ceases to amaze him. How can a beautiful girl be so cold? He asked himself secretly. "My King wants to have a chat with your master, in peace," she said with the same cold emotionless tone with a dark aura surrounding her. An aura that he has never felt around her in before. "Our King has no business with your asshole of a king," one of the men spat angrily. The next second she was standing close to him with her dagger on his spin. "Don't disrespect my king. I won't mind castrating you before ripping out your particulars. One more word of disrespect thrown at my king and I will make sure I add you to an art collection," she warned, her voice coming out darker than he expected which made a shiver run down his spine as the guard nodded with a fearful expression. "Now, lead the way. Try anything smart and I won't hesitate to slice you up," she muttered motioning for the king to come with them. He followed with the same cold expression. He has never met a woman as strong as her in his entire life and this female has his heart without knowing. She's The King's Guard.
