The details edges had been rubbed smooth long ago, but the feeling of complete and absolute terror had remained as distinguishable as the day it happened. fifteen or so years back... That fear has always kept me grounded to the forest that isolated me from the rest of the world. It kept me safe from whatever I had to run away from. Tricking me into thinking what was best for my survival, was to stay hidden. But when dangers from the outside seep into the safe haven I had created, all sense of security shatters.
