Insomnia (Excerpt)
    With a sigh, Dusk reached a hand up and rubbed her eyes. As she lowered it, she noticed, for the first time, someone else as crazy as her: a man crossing the street, having exited the building next to hers. He was faced away from Dusk as he approached the building straight across. The street lamps illuminated him for a moment before he walked farther away. 
    A car drove slowly down the street from Dusk's left. 
   She kept a careful eye on the man but didn't bother moving. 
   Years later, Dusk wouldn't be able to explain exactly what happened next."Tous Droits Réservés

[SHORT STORY] People say curiosity kills But don't forget it can be a virtue too. ~~~Krist held his hand tightly on the steering wheel and all of sudden his eyes turned towards me, they had tears in them and I could hear him mumbling my name. The car turned over and spun like a top, flipped from the road to the gorge. Krist held my hands tightly, all I saw was his face, blood was running down his hair and it turned his eyes red, I could hear Techna calling out my name but I couldn't open my mouth. I couldn't see Nance nor hear her. I saw the car was about to hit the floor of the rocks lying below and I took my last breath...

This is the type of love you wish you found in high school but probably know way too well that it only exists as fiction. If you don't remember, let me remind you that I killed her friend. Hell, her master. She'll kill me when she sees me." Henri had the nerve to laugh softly. "You're already dead, Antoinette." "Thanks to you. There are other ways witches can hurt vampires, aren't there?" My eyes traveled shortly to the warlocks, Daniel and Zachary, and I shook my head. "She'll burn me alive! “I tucked my light brown hair behind my ear and placed on my warm, light blue winter jacket and headed for the woods. He was here, breathing down my neck, yet not here at all. I felt his presence consume me, yet I felt nothing. The cold air whipped into my face and I looking into the July snow. “Whitney,” the spirits whispered. He was here.” What happens when one era ends and another begins? Whitney woke up from her afternoon nap when her best friend Sarah called. Apparently, the world was ending, despite the obvious knowledge it wasn't, and Sarah wanted to party. Whitney was always the third wheel when it came to Sarah and her boyfriend Jack, and was really not up for it, but she threw on some clothes and met them at the beach. Whitney met them, and after hours of torture, ran away from them after almost drinking cow blood. On her run, she saved lives and saw the world beginning to change. She ends the escape at Courtney's house, a local teen, who was drunk with her best friends. Unfortunately, the Ouija board "joke" turned into a true spell that slowly caused the human race to disintegrate and the rise of supernatural beings to become a reality. I dedicate this story to my best friend Zoe. Zoe, you're a constant inspiration for this and I love you forever for it!!!

The girl attempted to run, but she was surrounded. Her long hair did her no good. Her male companion had climbed the barricade between the sections, but the zombies were climbing. He screamed as one ate his foot, causing him to let go. His screams continued into his re-birth. I lobbed a fire bomb into the horde, lighting them all on fire. Suddenly, I fell off of my ledge, just seeing a glimpse of my assassin, a girl with short, wavy hair. She laughed as I burned, never re-animating.

There was a dark figure on the roof; based on the little outline I got, I could tell it was a person. Suddenly, every bone in my body wanted to run up the stairs and stop them from doing something they couldn't take back. I pushed open the roof door, and I was right. It was a girl, who was seated there with her arms stretched out by her side and the wind in her hair. "You okay?" I asked as I moved closer to her, still clutching the tray in my hand. "Yes. I'm not going to jump," She replied. I could feel her rolling her eyes. "Then why don't you move away?" I asked "Why don't you move closer?"
