George is someone who is content with his quiet, small town life. He takes care of his Ill mother, goes to work, goes to sleep, and repeats the same thing over and over again. He was okay with the consistent schedule.
Dream, on the other hand, wanted to run away. He wanted to explore the world. He hated stayed in a small town, he wanted to see the city. But he wants to stay with George. He wants to see George happy, knowing that he was happy in the small town, in the small library, in his quiet life.
