Aurora Borealis

Chloe and Cameron Baker are two twin siblings trying to figure out living on their own, owning an apartment together in Manhattan and always finding time to spend with each other. However, as wintertime approaches, there is a distinct lack of snowfall or anything chilly. With their father working as a meteorologist for the government to help identify major natural disasters, they are the first to hear the news: Snow, ice and everything else to do with winter is going crazy all over the world. Brazil is facing major snowstorms for the first time ever, and Russia's snowy mountains have begun to melt rapidly. Nobody knows what's going on or how to fix it, but they are keeping the matter as under control as they can.

When walking through Central Park, the twins hear a young woman discussing the recent weather crisis and how she must stop everything from spiralling out of control. Soon, they find out the woman is none other than the Spirit of Winter, a woman by the name of Jackie Frost and the namesake of the famous Jack Frost legend. She explains that she had been blasted away from the North Pole after a reaction from the Northern Light Crystals, the source of her powers, had caused an explosion when the central Crystal was stolen by a gemologist looking to study the Crystals and keep them for himself. With the help of their wealthy uncle, the other Spirits of the world, and a little magical ferret, the twins and Jackie set out on a race to retrieve the remaining Northern Light Crystals before the power-hungry gemologist gets to them, throwing the entire world into an ice age.
