French assassin, Marianne Cormier, is given a new target by her estranged boss: kill Aria Caponelli, and don't leave behind any evidence, or it's her head on the line.

But when she comes to spend a night with Aria in a scheme to be in his bed in the morning, alone with him and capable of whatever she pleases, she finds it won't be as simple as most of her other jobs. Not only is Aria a mysterious businessman, he also works underground with some of the most dangerous people in the state, including himself.

And so when Marianne comes to find herself and her mission almost successful, for the first time in her career, she hesitates.
