Alexandra (Alex) Summers, she used to be a caring person until her mother died. She was still bad, but she still had emotions.
Alex had no one to take care of her because she was still 17 & her birthday wasn't until 9 months, and she didn't have any brothers or sisters. Her dad left them when she was 6 years old, ever since that her mom was depressed. And yes, that's how she died, of depression.
After that, she had to live in a foster home until they adopted her. She was adopted by a family of 4, the mom, the dad, and the brother and sister. Alex moved to Malibu in California, she liked the beach so she thought it was cool. Her new brother, 17 year old Jeremy was always mean to her because he was scared of her. And her new sister, 12 year old Kassie did get along with Alex.
So that meaned, new home = new school.
And she hated school, will she make any friends?Will a she even have a boyfriend just like her? Will someone give her back her emotions?

Amy has has the best life, she has good friends, a good parent, and the best boys chasing after her, but when a new guy, zack, comes and moves right across the street her whole life changes. if you want the first three chapters I will summarize them. chapter 1 Amy is getting ready for her date with a boy from the school that she has been wanting to ask in a long time. but he doesn't come and just disappears from the state. when she is waiting she see a moving van pull up and goes to see who's going to be her new neighbors. chapter 2 when Amy gets over to their yard she introduces herself and says that her mom is at work but will come over and meet them when she gets off work. when she gets home she tells her brother Sam about the girl that lives across the street, and he doesn't want to at first but then Amy tells him that she is his age and he jumps up and runs out of the house. then she goes upstairs to her room and calls her friends Lola and Lizzy to come over and they talk about Zack until Amy's mom comes home and she makes a welcoming dinner for them and they take it over to them that day. that's same day Amy starts getting to know Zack better. chapter 3 Zack wakes Amy up and starts talking to her about their date. it may seem like they are going on a date the day after they just met but Zack it persistent and wants to get to know her better, and he wants to get to know her fast. after Zack is done talking to her she tries to go back to sleep but she can't so she takes a shower. after her shower she gets out and finally looks in the mirror and sees her marks that are like fire but the color is black.Complete
