"You probably guessed it wasn't Avengers related, so I'll get right to it. There's an SI Gala going on this Wednesday, and for the last month and a half I've been dreading it. The usual boring business shenanigans. Then, a brilliant idea pops into my head, pretty usual occurrence for me I know-"

"Is there a point to this?"

"But," Tony continues as if he wasn't interrupted,"who am I to decline my own genius. So," he turns lazily on his heel to suddenly face the doctor with a confident smile, "be my date."

Or: Tony takes Stephen out on a surprisingly thoughtful date to convince him to come to a Stark Industries Gala. Stephen thinks it'll be easy to go through the motions, but when Tony turns out to be genuinely considerate, he's not so sure. However, like everything else in Stephen's unpredictable life, things go off the deep end when it turns out Tony hasn't been entirely truthful about his motives.

Twisted Fates | ironstrange (Book 1) by HAMILTON42
19 parts Complete
Tony Stark was never Iron Man. He was never a hero, never anything except 'genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist'. The only thing he was, was a broken man with a hunk of metal embedded in his chest, broken even further when he ended up the victim of a near-fatal car crash after a fight with Steve Rodgers, the leader of the Avengers. When Tony learns that he only has three months left to live, he breaks completely. He wastes his three months of life, wallowing in depression, until he realizes that he doesn't want to die and learns of a mystical school in the Himalayas: Kamar-Taj. Stephen Strange is a doctor with broken hands, his career ripped from his shaky grasp when he is thrown out of a hospital window and buried under half a building. Distraught, in pain, and desperate, Stephen tries his hardest to recover, turning a blind eye to every fruitless attempt. Until he learns of Kamar-Taj and meets a man named Tony Stark. Both men feel as if they are broken beyond repair, never to be whole again, and never to be loved. What happens, then, when an ordinary man literally running on batteries and a doctor who lost his work, his life, begin to mend each other? Picking up the pieces, binding the shards of metal and glass with the romance slowly blooming between them? Following the events of Doctor Strange, the two men realize there is more to the other than meets the eye, and more to themselves then they realized. But when the war is won, the dust settles, and peace overcomes the word, love is what remains. And it all started from a game of twisted fates. |~|~|~| • posted on Ao3 under Kadi_WatsonHolmes • soon to be posted on Fanfiction.net under Kadi_WatsonHolmes 🔹Started: 2/5/2022 🔸Finished: 2/21/2022 Currently under editing (moral of the story: don't binge write a 22-chapter book in less than three weeks. Spying on Spider-Man by Kaitkaitkitty
23 parts Complete
"I didn't even know you were my uncle, and now that I'm stuck living with you, the first thing you want me to do is spy on my best friend?!" I yelled, annoyed. "I mean, yeah. Is that a problem?" Tony asked. "Yeah! You didn't know about my mom! You don't know what I'm going through! The only person that's there for me is Peter, and now you want me to do stuff behind his back!" He sighed. "I know, you're right. But, I really need you to do this." I looked at him. "Hell no. I'm not going to do it just because you need me to." "Just... go to his house. Now. You'll see why." "Fine. But just so you know, I'm not going there for you. I'm going there to see my friend. And I may not be back until tomorrow." I turned to walk out, but I turned back real quick. "Oh, and I'm taking one of your suits. Stipulations, you know?" Alison "Allie" Stark never really had a lot of friends. But, there was one person who has been her bestie since kindergarten: Peter Parker. No matter what, they've been there for each other, especially when Allie's mom has cancer. But, there's one thing that Peter never told her: he is Spider-Man. So, when Allie's mom died and she figures out that she's the niece of Tony Stark, at first she's reluctant to accept his request to spy on Peter. But, after his secret is revealed, the adventures begin. And she couldn't be happier. I mean, who wouldn't be ecstatic to get to spend all the time in the world with their crush since fifth grade? THIS BOOK DOES CONTAIN LANGUAGE!! I WARNED YOU!! Another note: Not every single word is mine and mine alone. I do copy some dialogue directly from the movie Spider-Man: Homecoming. I do this to keep the main storyline as close to the original as possible, just with some added characters and side stories. The MCU is one of my favorite things in the world, so I want to give them credit where credit is due.
The Weight of Grief by Kale_Kabbage
12 parts Complete Mature
It's almost funny. How grief sneaks up on you. One second, you're fine; you're coping well and then it hits you like a bullet, tearing right through your heart, almost killing you on the spot. Grief is a monster that lies dormant in the darkest quarters of your mind, growing stronger and stronger until you can't fight anymore. Until you can't breathe. Peter was fractured. The monster having grown too big, and without any support left to hold him up, the world of drugs dug its claws into him. And it was slowly killing him, like a sickly sweet poison that dulled the pain while quietly feeding on his soul. He was powerless to stop it. He was too tired to stop it. Tony was doing pretty good. Aside from having died, he was doing pretty good. Resurrected from the dead, check. Thanos dead, check. Wife and daughter thriving, check. He'd never expected to get his life back, that was for sure. He was thankful for the second chance. Unfortunately, Tony was quick to discover that the kid had all but lost his own life. It felt like a knife slowly twisting into his chest every time he saw the kid: in agony. Now Tony wasn't exactly the poster-child for a good emotional support figure, but he wasn't about to sit back and let this continue. No matter how hard the kid fought him, no matter how much resistance he was met with, Tony would help the kid. Still, he couldn't help the fear that laced his blood. Tony couldn't help but question whether he would be able to save Peter from the weight of grief. **NO Starker** Triggers Warnings: Substance Use/Abuse Depressive and/or Suicidal Thoughts/Mentions Rape Threats/Mentions Descriptive Blood/Minimal Gore Some Self-Harm Coarse Language Mental Illness (various) This is a heavier story, so please don't read if you're not comfortable with any of the above triggers.
