"You probably guessed it wasn't Avengers related, so I'll get right to it. There's an SI Gala going on this Wednesday, and for the last month and a half I've been dreading it. The usual boring business shenanigans. Then, a brilliant idea pops into my head, pretty usual occurrence for me I know-"

"Is there a point to this?"

"But," Tony continues as if he wasn't interrupted,"who am I to decline my own genius. So," he turns lazily on his heel to suddenly face the doctor with a confident smile, "be my date."

Or: Tony takes Stephen out on a surprisingly thoughtful date to convince him to come to a Stark Industries Gala. Stephen thinks it'll be easy to go through the motions, but when Tony turns out to be genuinely considerate, he's not so sure. However, like everything else in Stephen's unpredictable life, things go off the deep end when it turns out Tony hasn't been entirely truthful about his motives.

Tony Stark was never Iron Man. He was never a hero, never anything except 'genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist'. The only thing he was, was a broken man with a hunk of metal embedded in his chest, broken even further when he ended up the victim of a near-fatal car crash after a fight with Steve Rodgers, the leader of the Avengers. When Tony learns that he only has three months left to live, he breaks completely. He wastes his three months of life, wallowing in depression, until he realizes that he doesn't want to die and learns of a mystical school in the Himalayas: Kamar-Taj. Stephen Strange is a doctor with broken hands, his career ripped from his shaky grasp when he is thrown out of a hospital window and buried under half a building. Distraught, in pain, and desperate, Stephen tries his hardest to recover, turning a blind eye to every fruitless attempt. Until he learns of Kamar-Taj and meets a man named Tony Stark. Both men feel as if they are broken beyond repair, never to be whole again, and never to be loved. What happens, then, when an ordinary man literally running on batteries and a doctor who lost his work, his life, begin to mend each other? Picking up the pieces, binding the shards of metal and glass with the romance slowly blooming between them? Following the events of Doctor Strange, the two men realize there is more to the other than meets the eye, and more to themselves then they realized. But when the war is won, the dust settles, and peace overcomes the word, love is what remains. And it all started from a game of twisted fates. |~|~|~| • posted on Ao3 under Kadi_WatsonHolmes • soon to be posted on Fanfiction.net under Kadi_WatsonHolmes 🔹Started: 2/5/2022 🔸Finished: 2/21/2022 Currently under editing (moral of the story: don't binge write a 22-chapter book in less than three weeks. She never thought she would ever meet anyone as egotistical as her brother, but boy was she wrong. She never wanted to be in the lime light like Tony, so she kept a quiet private life, even changed her surname, not wanting to draw attention to herself. She was only a few years old, when their parents died, and Tony didn't want her growing up in the spotlight, so he had her raised away from it all. Though she loved her brother dearly for giving her a safe, quiet life, she missed having that bond with him. That is until the day he announced himself as Iron-man and joined the group of misfits that called themselves heroes. She had worked at the local hospital, as a doctor in the ER, but was often called upon to fix up the idiots who didn't know how to take care of themselves. On one of her shifts, she comes across HIM. That smug, egocentric asshole trying to prove that he knew best, arguing with her about a patient, when she had lost it, and punched him in the face. *** Stephen Strange was a man who prided himself on being the best, and here was this woman, who was telling him how to do his job. She was infuriating, stubborn and a huge pain in his ass. After a public disagreement, that resulted in her suspension, when she hit him, he had found out that she was none other than Tony Starks sister. He attempts to make amends, by inviting her to the party in his honour, in hopes of showing the board that she was an asset to the hospital, when his life takes a turn for the worst, and an accident occurs. Both their worlds collide, seeking help from each other, but can they put their differences aside, or will it tear them apart? ❗️DISCONTINUED❗️ Peter Parker is Spider-man. Obviously, only his best friend knows (for now) What happens when it seems like the universe is trying to get Tony and Peter to meet, albeit in unnecessary ways, they do meet. "So, you save the world?" I looked up and down the spandex clad boy in front of me. Even under the mask I could see his worry. "Well, I do what I can.." He sheepishly put a hand behind his head. "What else would I do with superpowers?" "Rob a bank, kill the president, take over the universe. There are LOTS of options." He laughed slightly, stuffing the last of my things gently into the bag and handing it to me. "Touche. But I mean, good things. Like good people do cause I'm a food person, GOOD person, I ment good. Not food, though it's not a bad thing to like food, not in the slightest. Infact, I could definatly go for some Chinese food about now, and a foot to stick in my own mouth.." I snorted, taking the bag out of his hands. "And I'm supposed to know that your good.. but I guess with a name like the spider boy you have to have something going for you." He turned, walking up the alley wall and squatted down, his bug eyes slightly offended. "Ouch. Its Spider Man." now it was my turn to laugh. "You dont look like much of a man to me, but fine. The Spider-Man, happy?" I couldn't tell, but I could swear he was smiling under that web shrouded mask. He lifted a hand, shooting a sting of webbing from his wrist and pulling himself seamlessly up to the buildings top. I looked up, head craned to see him as he looked down at me. He cupped his hands around his mouth for just a moment before he called, "Very!" And ran off into the night sky above me. ******* After Homcoming before Infinity War, ps peter never liked MJ Contains Explicit content, sexual abuse, strong language, and death I own no characters of the Marvel Cinimatic Universe nor any rights to their content.
