Five Pink Envelopes

Based off of the short story I wrote for an English comp class by the same name, Five Pink Envelopes is a heartbreaking story of love and loss.

"It seemed like such a terrible thing—to be making out with a boy I barely knew only hours after my best friend committed suicide, but somehow, Bash was just what I needed. His lips on mine and the contact of his skin reminded me that I was alive. It was as if kissing Bash erased the reality that had just been forced onto us. When Bash kissed me all I could think about was the exact curvature of his upper lip and the freckle by his nose and where his fingertips were roaming."

Marina had no idea what to expect when she got a phone call from her best friend's crying mother in the middle of the night. She didn't expect to spend the night in the waiting room with four of her classmates with only one thing in common. What she expected least of all was to end up in bed with one of them. Follow the five students as their worlds fall apart and they come together in their grief for their friend.
