Why is the girl crying? Why does she live alone in a cottage in the middle of the woods? Why does she go about her day as if her tears were nothing but an afterthought? The electricity goes out. Oh, she needs candles. To the knickknacks shop she goes. The only shop in the entire area. She only needs a candle, so why does she end up coming home with something else? Something that could not be good for her. Something she never wanted, left for her by someone she never wanted. How does it end?
A dreary fantasy setting. Foggy woods and raindrops. Mushroom creature shopkeeper. Girl who has no purpose in life.
The past few days I couldn't stop singing Treehouse by kelseydog and the song's aesthetic inspired this story.
