The Avatar is gone. He was not there when the fire nation invaded the earth kingdom and he is not here now, when a small group of rebels hiding in ancient ruins does its best to survive. Lee is one of these rebels and leads a small team that ventures regularly into a city governed by the fire nation in order to steal food and daily necessities. However the fire nation soldiers are not his only enemy. Some of his own comrades despise him and do everything they can on order to turn his life into hell. Above all Lee hides a dark past he can not even tell his closest friend Roku because he fears that even he would turn against him if he knew the whole truth. Then it all changes when a new refugee reaches the ruins. Her name is Sora and she is an airbender. Even though she is still so very young she insists to join Lee's team and fight alongside them. Then it all takes a turn for the worst because a new commander takes over in the city who has sworn to himself to slaughter all rebels. They have to fight for their lives and between it all Lee's darkest secret gets exposed.

Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed, two Water Tribe siblings discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang. Avatar Aang, Katara of the Water Tribe, Sokka The Warrior, And Toph The Blind Bandit, are on a journey to bring peace to all the nations and end the evil that Fire Lord Sozin and his descendants have caused. However when the four heroes and their allies began to invaded Fire Nation Capital their journey will change forever. They will be meet with new allies, old friends will return, new foes will emerge to destroy the good in the world. They will be met with challenges that will bring them to the brink of death.
