Braxton dropped the guy and he took off out of the club. Braxton turned to me and helped me up. He stared at me dead in my eyes. I could have sworn he was burning a whole straight through my blue eyes with his brown ones. He looked furious.
"I couldn't help but notice your tattoo. Do you know what it it?" He asked sternly.
I gulped the lump in my throat. I am sure he knows I do and I am not ashamed of it.
"Yes I do." I stand my ground.
"So you know who I am?" He asks sounding mad a hell.
"Should I." I asked.
He smirks a mean smirk at me and lowers the collar of his shirt showing a Black serpent tattoo. Oh fuck he's one of them. I'm so screwed. I still stand my ground and slid my hand into my pocket.
"Your one of them." I stated the obvious.
"I am. Are you scared now?" He smirked.
I am a lot of things right now but I know better than to show fear because that will give him power over me.
"Why would I be?" I stare directly back at him.
He is giving me a glare but I am trying hard to return the look back and struggling not to break eye contact. But I feel as if I'm melting under his stare.

I woke to a sudden breeze invading the warmth from the heavy blanket that caressed my skin. Here, alone with my thoughts, the still, calm quiet in the atmosphere is almost painful.
