Jade looked over her shoulder at the group home for juvenile delinquents. A chill rose up her spine even though it was 90 degrees outside. She steeled her grip on her bag and disappeared into the shadows of the small Texas town.
Jade's life has never been easy but she doesn't think she can grow to what she promised her brother. It's time for a new chapter in her life, but is she ready for the dark corners and turns this new chapter has in store for her.
