In Time

Peter Parker was thoroughly and lamentably alone. With Aunt May gone, Ned and MJ living their own lives, blissfully unaware of his existence, he wasn't sure how much longer he could go pretending that everything was fine. With a crumbling apartment and a measly 15 bucks to last him till the end of the next pay period, he was living life the only way he knew how--surviving.

Madeline Tate had made it eight months. Eight months living alone as a minor in the run-down cramped apartment in Queens, happily knowing there was no one around to bother her anymore. After her mother left, the only one she had to worry about was her unassuming land lord who couldn't be bothered to call CPS--as long as she made rent in time every month. So she was the least bit pleased to find out that she had a new neighbor.
