Chancellor Pike and his second, Bellamy Blake, order an unprovoked attack on a Trikru army sent to protect Skaikru, resulting in the death of hundreds of Trikru warriors. After General Indra kom Trikru, receives word of the massacre, a summit is called to discuss what happened and prevent further bloodshed. Roan, king of Azgeda, suggests a solution in which Skaikru can remain separate from the twelve clans yet gain all the protection of a clan in the coalition.

This is the legend of a warrior princess that fell from the sky and a tribal ice nation king from the ground. A story of political blood bonds, betrayal, loss, jealousy, war and an unlikely love borne of hardship in a post apocalyptic world.
