During the early 19th century, a self-proclaimed Astrophysian named Koliet Blackmoore makes an astonishing discovery: Using a new kind of enhanced lens for his telescope, he first sees strange mists floating around the atmosphere. Following an investigation that several of his friends are a part of, using new special lenses and their method of "star watching", they find strange energies bound to the skies. Over decades, they perform secret research that, in the summer of 1840, finally paid out for them. Until that point, they had managed to transfer the energy from the sky above them into small artifacts, into 26 rings. After a sky event involving the conjunction of several Planets, the bound energy inside of the rings showed its true potential: The ring bearers changed appearance, incredible strength, and, as a big downside, severe mental traumas. The true nature of these events never got completely unveiled, since most documents about the experiments were destroyed in an explosion at the Blackmoore Mansion, supposedly killing Koliet himself, as all of his partners, who also had been present. But the truth is, the curse of the rings never laid down, instead twisting the minds of countless people into horror. In the present day of the 21st Century, several young folks were selected by an anonymous group to fulfill an old pact.
