Amelia and Avalyn Pond were two Scottish girls who lived in an English village named Leadworth. when Amelia was seven and Avalyn was six, they met a strange man who called himself 'The Doctor', after his little blue box fell out of the sky, into their back garden. Avalyn smiled shyly, her own eyes wide with a sense of wonder. "Everything." She told him simply, giggling when The Doctor pouted at the answer. "The way they contradict everything else about you." She decided to elaborate. "Sad and old and wise; full of impossible stories that hold millions of words. Cold with grief, while at the same time, warm with the kindness of a man that can do no wrong." Avalyn paused as The Doctor grinned wildly at her. "Oh, Pond..." He sighed; shaking his head slightly, patting her on the head. "See you both in five minutes." He promised, jumping into the blue police box as the sisters observed, holding hands.
