The black-robed man gave me an indifferent look, and I saw a twisted smile forming on his lips.

I smiled.

I never had anything of my own anyway. This price was very cheap in comparison to my greed. Let a monster be born in my stead. Let the blood of my enemies flow like rivers. Let my pursuit of power be obsessive and never-ending.
