So she pretends to love a common deathdealer. Which isn't that hard, even though Lonil Cinderstrike is a total brute.
First, she needs him to pretend to be in love too. And convincingly! Glorious Lords of the Influx, she's pretty sure she could do that!
But Nikhi quickly realizes the blunder in her choice of conspirator.
The lowly deathdealer might not have what it takes. Because if Lonil has any goodness left, any kindness lurking in the deepest recesses of his heart, it will absolutely ruin everything.
