'There was no prior communication with me,' says Virat Kohli on ODI captaincy

Virat Kohli has expressed that no earlier correspondence with him over was being supplanted as ODI skipper. He said that during the call to discuss the Test team for South Africa, he was educated regarding the choice by BCCI selectors and he was "okay" with it.

The BCCI said the team for the South Africa Test series on December 8. Releasing an official communication while naming the squad, the cricket board informed:

"The All-India Senior Selection Committee also decided to name Mr. Rohit Sharma as the Captain of the ODI & T20I teams going forward."

At a much-anticipated press conference ahead of India's visit through South Africa, Virat Kohli eliminated any confusion on the debate encompassing the captaincy change.
