I'm Russet. I'll admit I'm not the honorable person I used to be. I'd help the Jarls, save towns from monsters, and roughhouse with my fellow Companions. But I'm no hero, not anymore. I'm a thief, and it's time I embraced that. I'm a Nord with blood on my hands, a sinner's soul, and a lifetime of bad choices behind me. We all make mistakes; it's just hard to believe that mine led me here.

This is the official edit of my previous Brynjolf/OC story, Moonlight's Embrace. I'm leaving the original up, but I figured that since the edits are basically a different story, I might as well. I hope you enjoy what is essentially Moonlight's Embrace 2.0!
Rated R/Mature for violence and sexual content. NO LEMONS. VERY STEAMY, NO SHADES OR SMUT.

NOTE: If I owned Skyrim, I would have no need for writing fanfictions just for the heck of it. I only own Femke and my original dialogue. Everything else is credited to Bethesda Game Studios.

The Song of Deirdre Part I by lhogue

Deirdre Morningsong returns to Skyrim seeking vengeance on the Nords who murdered her parents, only to be captured by Imperial soldiers who mistake her for a Stormcloak rebel. After escaping both the Imperial dungeons and the destructive return of the dragon Alduin, she resolves to discover what strange power is within her, and what the dragons have to do with it. Follows the main quest lines of the game, weaving them into a story of adventure and romance, with numerous twists on the canon. I'm hoping it's equally enjoyable for those who've played the game and those who haven't. Trigger warnings: rape is mentioned, one is attempted and prevented, but none are completed. Some other sexual assault. The first chapters are PG-13, but later ones become R-rated. (Feedback on appropriate ratings appreciated.) Skyrim is part of the Elder Scrolls series of games, copyright by Bethesda Softworks. The image for the book cover is from the game. She was an artist as a hobby; people would sometimes commission her online, and she'd make a little extra money. However, three months after she gets her job, she ends up getting fired. Her rent increases around that time, and things go downhill. She calls up an old friend of hers from ninth grade, and she settles in as Y/N's roommate. She was nice at first, until she started getting nosey. She wanted to know where Y/N was at all times, what she was doing, or who she was talking to. Y/N was getting sick of her, but she didn't think she could kick her roommate out without losing the house, so she endured her suffering, continuing to look for a job and draw. One day, she posted one of her art pieces on a Discord server, looking for people to commission her, and in the process, she met a certain man named Fell. --- HIYA! IT'S ME!
