I played a game I never agreed to. A dangerous game of deceit and desire. I believed I had fallen victim to the cruelty of the world, but the truth was far darker: I had fallen for the carefully written lies of the one person I thought I could trust. Their betrayal unraveled everything. Love twisted into manipulation, loyalty into poison, and every whispered promise became a blade against my heart. If their devotion was only a mask, what else in my life was built on illusions? How many lies had I mistaken for truth? Now, I am left questioning not only them, but myself. Was I ever in control, or have I been nothing more than a pawn in someone else's game? And when the final card falls, will it mark my destruction...?

It was the end of my first year at university and I was looking forward to the summer to live it to the fullest until my heart was broken. As if being dumped wasn't enough, I now have to endure the humiliation of watching my ex-boyfriend flaunt his new girlfriend - who also happens to be my former best friend - all over town. Double whammy. I am now the pathetic ex-girlfriend with a broken heart. I am doomed to spend the summer sulking over a guy who thought I was predictable and bad in bed. So here's what I've decided to do this summer; the plan is simple...pretend I'm dating Jim, the popular bad boy of the town, and make my ex-boyfriend green with envy. What do you think? After all...what could possibly go wrong?
