It was just a normal day to me. My parents didn't care. They didn't even try talking with me anymore. They basically started ignoring me when I could get myself food and pretty much take care of myself. They didn't even care if i was in my room at night anymore. Honestly I think they were waiting for the day that i got caught, and then they decided they had waited long enough.

I came down for breakfast and as always there were three plates set. Mom, Dad, and Chrysanthium my younger, better sister. My mom didn't even look at me when i came down the stares. She hated my dark brown hair because my sister's was blonde like hers. She hated my Chocolate brown eyes because they weren't hazelnut perfection like hers. She hated my stark pale skin because i wouldn't go outside to get a tan like her. She hated me most though for being a Defect. A Defect is a child missing an ability. I am Deaf and she hated that the most. My younger sister Chrysanthium came down stairs and looked at the table and back at me and offered me a small smile. She then looked at my mom and walked straight past her, picked up her plate that Mom had set for her and sat it in front of me on the counter then proceeded to get herself a new plate.
