Facing obsessive fans, endless fakes, and a world seemingly in love with the idea of a modern Cinderella, August's lost. He has the metaphorical glass slipper. Now he just needs to find the girl.
But when his soulmate contacts him, not only is she not from his parent's list of acceptable girls, she's not even in the same country.
Desperate to get a hold of the narrative, his parents agree to give him and the mystery girl a chance, flying her to England and dumping her - and him - into an even crazier press storm.
