Alone.
That's how Odele fells all the time, lonely and alone.
Some people say how lonely is a choice and alone is not possible but for Odele all this people haven't really been either. Her family hates her and ignores her, her friends alway leave her out. She doesn't know company and she's learnt to live that way.
At least, until a boy who can't seem to stop seeing her everywhere enters her life.
William has always been the golden boy, everyone likes him, he is perfect and all that stuff. But lately he has been looking for something else, someone he doesn't know but he can feel.

I ran downstairs into the living room, my heart pounding as I found all my brothers gathered around Nefeli. Her eyes were frantic, scanning the room, desperately searching for me.
