"I got told to avoid them. To stay in the woods. It was the safest there. I didn't listen; I was young and stupid." His irises dilated again, this time to slits. "When you saw me, you didn't run or scream. You almost touched me, but then that motherfucker shot me, and I bit you." He grabbed your scarred hand, holding it close to your face. "I did that. Me." Kingdom of the Zodiac
The locals had warned me that no one in their right mind would enter the North Woods alone, not unless they had a death wish. It's a good thing then that I am not in my right mind. Fear had prevented me from returning to this place for years, but the nightmares depriving me of sleep threatened to steal what little sanity I had left, leaving me with no other choice than to confront the source of my apprehension. I was tired of pretending that everything was ok. That I was ok. I needed the nightmares to stop. But in order for that to happen, I needed to uncover my lost memories. The North Woods held answers, of that much I was certain. So here I stand, ready to face my past. If only I could get my legs to move. **FIRST DRAFT - UNEDITED **Concluída
Light Eternal
The realm of the fairy's, a world alien to mortals, filled with beings of legends and folklore. It is a land only a hairs breadth away from earth, yet completely unreachable. It is a word of strange and seemingly inconsistent rules, governed by magic and its unpredictable nature. Fairies of all types reside in this world, each specializing in different magic, ranging from the most basic elemental magic, to shape shifting, and even traveling between worlds. Within this world is a forest so deep and dark, it is named Forest of the Eternal Night. It is home to dangerous beasts and monsters of myth, yet within the deepest darkest reaches live the beautiful Night Fae: Talented tailors, dream weavers, and master artisans. Each bears a different color moonstone embedded in their chest, which supplies their powerful magic. Along side each Night Fae exists a spider familiar, a creature whom converts dream energy into the finest silk imaginable. They lead extremely private lives, but one day a young woman dares to leave the confines of her forest home to see the world beyond. What will await her?Concluída
Something With a Prince
What story does the forest keep and what story does it tell? Upon her induction into the king's army, Tallethea Ousin is asked to transport her childhood enemy, the prince of Tuisedor, through treacherous forest in order to protect him from the Blood Queen of Slerian. However, nothing is as it seems in Tuisedor's dark woods. Once their journey begins, the two adversaries find they must work together to survive the malevolent intentions of the forest herself and reach their destination before time is up. Meanwhile, the Crown Prince of Tuisedor haunts his window, awaiting the arrival of war from two neighboring kingdoms, Slerian and Rughwen. Cast upon the throne, he must do what it takes to protect his kingdom, even if that means navigating slippery politics, bold princesses, and cunning queens alike. When curses converge and curses are broken, what is left to be said of the soldier, the poet, and the king? It all lies within one question: what story does the forest keep and what story does it tell? Well, it tells its own of course... *Content Warnings* Hello Darlings, I just want to preface that this book contains a few triggering themes including gore, horror, some sexual misconduct, abuse, mental illness, as well as some profane language.
