Ansel became an orphan at a young age when invaders from another land came from the sea and started an all out war near the harbor where, regretfully, Ansel and his parents lived. Many people were killed during the great battle, the soldiers from the neighboring country giving no mercy to anyone, but the wounds they inflicted on the city didn't just end there as the soldiers broke into as many homes as they could and started grabbing children. Anyone under twelve years old, and some girls under sixteen even though that clearly wasn't part of their orders, were taken against their will and dragged to the ships waiting on the harbor including little Ansel. Now, today, Ansel finds himself a stable boy in the village in the kingdom who took him from his home but... Ansel found he couldn't hold a grudge. Ansel was five years old when it happened and it wasn't anyone else's fault but the late tyrannical king who was going senile in his old age, attacking anyone and everyone around him convinced they were all after his treasure. With the new king and his prince who have ruled peacefully for ten plus years. However, Ansel always wished to take a boat trip back home to see his parents graves and pray for them properly. That's why Ansel was trying to raise money to pay for a trip overseas and it's also how he ended up agreeing being a squire to the knight captain after the original squire got sick. He'd get paid for his time, enough to pay for two trips which meant he could get home earlier than he thought he would, and his companions were all very pleasant. However, Ansel made him a terrible mistake... he should have confirmed where the knights mission was taking him. Ansel finds himself camping outside of the Demon King's castle who supposedly has a Dragon King's egg, the most powerful creature in the world, and it was the knights mission to capture said egg for their king. Except the egg disappeared... inside Ansel! How did this happen!?
