Back in the days of pioneers, and cattle drives, if you followed a dirt road, somewhere in South Dakota, you would reach a little farm; nestled into a valley of sweeping hills, surrounded by rugged peaks, tipped with snow. This picturesque valley was home to a family, called the Larsens. The Larsens farmed wheat, raised a few cattle, and kept horses. My hope is that you will be drawn into the lives of these fictitious characters, and enjoy reading the story just as much as I have enjoyed writing it. No part of this story is based on real places; it is purely a work of my imagination. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy this book. Grace Kobilan Washougal, WA 7 May 2010
