Phillip Bensworth is a fourteen-year-old who can't seem to catch a break. That is, until Zack Valdez becomes friends with him. When Zack invites Phillip to lunch with his friend group, Phillip starts to hear voices in his head. Why are they telling him to touch a book? And why does it want him to guide his friends to the book?

Warnings for: Religious trauma, violence, trauma dumping, body mutilation, suicide, self harm, blood, mentions of animals being hurt. Essentially, viewer discretion is advised.

Felix took a couple steps towards Augustine, breaking the distance between them. Augustine couldn't look up at Felix; he'd just want to kiss him. The temptation was killing him. One day at lunch, the group is trying to figure out Junior's type. They start going through the guys in the grade, and of course, Devon Simmons is mentioned. Tall, toned, talkative, and talked-about, he's a god based on most people's standards, and Junior's friends are sure that he'll think the same. Junior, however, can't stand him. He has no idea why, but sometimes just seeing Devon's face upsets him. "Medium ugly at best," he rates him. He hopes they can move on, but quickly finds out that won't be possible. Mostly because Devon was standing right behind him.

[COMPLETE!] *AN: I wanna say the start of this books is cringe and slow, but i've been working on this book for like 5 years of my life. so if you can push through it gets better i swear! thank you for reading! This story follows Zane RoMeave and Travis Valkrum through a more semi realistic/semi dramatic, darker teenage high school experience.
