The mistake of a day

Jessica looked at her parents from the window, she never believed that her parents could be like this ;being lovey-dovey and teary eyed because her father was going on a three month course.

when Hillary finally unarmed her husband, she told him
"please be back soon, my daughter and I will miss you.
henry nooded, even though he knew Jessica cared nothing about his departure. Hillary gave henry a slight kiss on the cheeks, Henry smiled and got into the car.
Hillary motioned for Henry to lower the car window
" she will later grow up to learn that you have actually changed" she said reassuringly.
She was probably aware of her daughter's indifference towards him
