Margo Fields has spent several years convincing herself that she made the right decision to bury her past. Running away from her menacing mother, and leaving her younger sister Bambi behind, Margo is determined to recreate her life. When she starts a new life at an art school to follow her dream as an exotic body painter, she is finally free to live the life she always wanted. Until the accident.

After the untimely death of her mother, Margo is raveled with memories of her past and the guilt of leaving her sister--now an orphan. With her sister left without a guardian, Margo sacrifices everything she has worked for to return home and take care of her teenage sister. Having no contact with Bambi over the years, Margo finds that she isn't the little girl that she use to be. From Bambi's reckless and depressive behavior to the older boys in her bedroom, Margo battles with trying to understand her reasoning. Is giving up her dreams really worth trying to save Bambi from a broken life?
