There are small rebellions of the Resistance scattered about the outer rim but nothing threatening to the First Order. The First Order's main goal now is to ally with a variety of planets that they have not to bring business, trade, and wealth. Marina is a weapon's specialist for the First Order and has excelled in her career within the First Order.

Force Destiny
Immediately following the events of The Last Jedi, the battle for the galaxy continues between the First Order and the last of the Resistance. Despite the fact that a lot of people still fear him and the First Order, most inhabitants of the First Order planets are thankful for the maintenance of the Order, even though freedom is almost none-existent. A lot of Resistance fighters don't understand, why they are still fighting.
