Marinette thought she could finally share her feelings with Adrien one month before Christmas, but rejection shattered her hopes. Now? She's a mess. Even on her nightly patrols as Ladybug, Chat Noir can tell something's off. Marinette's not feeling the holiday cheer, and celebrating is the last thing on her mind. But just when she's ready to give up on Christmas, someone unexpected might change everything.
Sounds perfect, right? Not so fast. Things are falling apart fast-arguments, lies, and the heartbreak of painful goodbyes. Will Marinette step into the new year with her heart in pieces? Or will someone help her pick them up before it's too late?

This story is inspired after watching the episode Miracle Queen, this is my take on what I think and want to happen next. (Spoilers in the description if you haven't watched Miracle Queen.) After seeing Adrien and Kagami grow closer and seem to be falling for each Marinette starts to wonder if she should let go of her feelings for Adrien and to move on. As long as Adrien is happy, as long they treat each other right. Though when she cried in Luka's arms she felt a sense of peace while he comforted her. This action opens her eyes on how she truly feels about Luka and that maybe, just maybe she can move on from Adrien. But that isn't the only thing she needs to worry about, now that Master Fu lost his memories and Marinette becomes the new guardian, she needs to take make decisions she never thought she would ever have to face. A series of each episode in Miraculous Ladybug Season 4, written in a Lukanette shipping style, co-written with @Mesha4200 Please check out her stories if you haven't done so. This follows on from my Lukanette version of Heart Hunter/Miracle Queen. This is now included as the prologue in this story so that you can see from where Marinette trusts Luka with her secret and their relationship begins. Basically since Mari told Luka her secret identity, Luka has taken on Alya's current role in being a help and support to her. So since she has Luka knowing I have made it so Alya still doesn't know either. The same people still get akumatised as what would have happened in Season 4 anyway.
