From the moment that Dave first saw Ash, he knew that she was special. Although the ideas of Fate and soul mates had never meant much to him, he still felt like Ash could be 'the One'. But this belief was followed by some tougher wisdom: relationships take effort, love must be built, and sometimes - just maybe - couples can be incompatible.

This off-beat teen romance examines our reactions to the moments that shape our lives, and the emotions that surround them. It reminds us that real life doesn't start once you get a job - every day of our lives is a brush stroke in the bigger picture. I lost everything, but gained everything in a year, then the next I lost everything again. I was lost, I was in a pit that I couldn't see myself getting out of, there was no light at the end of this road. But then he came into my life and that all changed. We were there for each other when we both needed it at our lowest. I needed him and he needed me, but then we didn't need each other anymore. I met someone that I wanted in my life forever, whether it was as friends or more, I didn't care I needed him. We were both fucked up teenagers who needed someone to just be there. This story does not end happily, I was broken, he stitched me back up, but then proceeded to break me again. Was it for the better? I'll never know, but I do know that I met the love of my life, but I owed karma and I paid that in full.

They almost numbered the amount of years she'd been in this world. Luckily for her, there was one reason she was still here, and as soon as she figured out what the hell it was she could fix it and move on. He remembered her. And what she looked like, how she took her coffee, everything. He couldn't get her out of his head. She was his muse, a glimpse into the impossible where he may finally have something to write about.
