Spoilers to No Way Home and Hawkeye 

After the events of the whole multiverse and having the memory his existence erased from everybody's minds, Peter is left with nothing. He promised Ned and MJ that he would tell them everything, but he had forced himself to stop going to the coffee/donut store, for their sake.

He is entering adulthood and has nothing left but a crappy apartment and Spider-man. And it is through Spider-man that he meets the archer that can help him.
