The largest ship ever built by the Imperial Japanese Navy, the Yamato, has set sailed in a one-way mission towards Okinawa, codenamed "Operation Ten-Go"

But she along with her escorts was spotted by the Americans and was intercepted by almost 400 American planes

Only four ships survived the interception and the following battle, and Yamato was not one of those ships

A few decades later, some unknown beings that has hyper advance technology arrived and wreck havoc on Earth for unknown reasons 

On one of their first attacks, one seemingly inconspicuous boy died, it would have been only one of many if it weren't for one thing that happened to him afterwards, something no one seem to understand fully
