Ten years have passed since Pekka Rollins retired into her quiet family life, allowing Kaz Brekker, now widely regarded as the King of the Barrel, to have control over much of the city of Ketterdam. The crows who were once at the side of Dirtyhands (Inej, Jesper and Wylan) have moved away from the corrupt daily life of the Barrel dividing each one by his own way. But Ketterdam is like a magnet and, for various reasons, the crows will once again find themselves caught in the same traps, involved in a single big blow.
