"Exhibitionism is something I haven't tried." She whispered, loving the dark wash of jealousy and anger on his face.

He seized her by the waist crushing her against his solid frame, his eyes bright with anger. "It took me a long time to forgive you, Lydia."

"I never asked you to." She whispered. Her eyes soft and defiant trailed to his warm velvet smooth lips, longing to rasp her tongue on the spray of prickly hairs of his jaw, to sink her fingers into the soft lock of his hair.

His arm tightened on her waist, angry at the infuriating woman baiting him. "You won't get what you want."

A mild scornful smile passed her face. "And what is that?"

"A reason to hate me."

The darkness crackled with upsoken desire and resentment. Lydia reveled in the storm brewing in Martin's eyes, a stark contrast to the softnessof her own.

Their past tainted by betrayal, an entangled mess which threatens to consume their fragile connection.
