Matters of the Heart (PEAKY BLINDERS)

Liliane Turner is no stranger to the streets of Small Heath, Birmingham. And she is especially no stranger to the Shelby family, who've been close friends to her own kin long before she was even born. But when tragedy strikes the Turner family, Lil finds herself being dragged away from the only home she's ever known, and her dear brother, leaving just as the war has come upon them, returning to Small Heath two years after its ended.

In the 8 years of her absence, her life isn't the only one that's changed drastically, as she is about to discover. The Shelby name is now well known across the country, and Liliane is far from that 7-year old girl who used to chase around Finn Shelby barefoot down Watery Lane. Everyone seems to have moved up in the world, and some new faces have even joined the picture: Michael Gray, long lost son of Polly Gray, who happened to arrive in Birmingham just in time for Lil's return.

With the Shelby's still being family, but practicing their questionable ways, and Lil having built a life back in London with people she loves, the young girl struggles to find her place between the two. As dangerous as the Peaky Blinder way of life can be, there's a part of Lil that can't help but be pulled in by the many things the Shelby family and her brother have to offer...and the potential sacrifices that come with being a Shelby through and through.
