Kei Nakajima was offered an assignment at the Gotham Gazette that no one else will take: proving that the Court of Owls, a group that is believed to be a tale to scare children, is in fact real.

Not willing to displease her boss (who also happens to be her uncle), Kei intends to deliver this seemingly impossible task.

On her way home, however, Kei finds herself insnared by the claws of Selina Kyle also known as Catwoman after a chance meeting.

Agreeing to help Kei with her quest (along with gaining something in return), even if Selina finds it fruitless, they discover that the Court isn't only real...but their feelings for one another are too.
