I was scared. Too scared to tell Komaeda that I loved him. But when the perfect opportunity arose, there was nothing I could do to stop myself from telling him the truth. It was after the murder of a close friend, and I soon found he was visiting to make sure I was okay. I was terrified to say anything, despairing over the idea of him rejecting me, but... I had to know. (TW: SELF-HARM, SUICIDAL THOUGHTS AND ATTEMPT, INTERNALIZED AND EXTERNALIZED HOMOPHOBIA) The characters, some phrases, and some locations belong to the creators of Danganronpa. Some of the topics covered, such as more frequent and normalized self-harm and one particular character fetishizing gay men, are not ideas that I agree with since the five years ago this was written. I want to make it clear that self-harm and suicidal ideation are not things to be romanticized, and that gay men are in fact diverse and complex people, who are not all one-minded. I did not necessarily think the latter at the time this was written, but it certainly could come across that way at certain points in this story. If anyone thinks I should change something to more realistically portray gay men, or to avoid romanticizing self-harm and suicidal ideation, please message me or leave a comment. It will still be marked as a Female!Reader story just in case Originally, you tried your hand at a completely different Ultimate talent, and while you were instead enrolled as the Ultimate Sweetheart, you never truly let that go! Still, as the new Ultimate Sweetheart, you have your crazy times but most people at this amazing school still manage to love you back. It's corny, but your goal is of pure in intention after all, and the people at this school are all just as nice in some way. You believe with all of your heart that there is hope AND love for everyone. Nagito Komaeda however, would beg to differ. He's having trouble believing that and he doesn't feel like he's worth the effort. You want to help him as much as you can so he knows he's loved too, and so he can feel true happiness from loving himself back as well. What starts out platonic becomes a romantic story that runs into the threads of deep despair with only a shred of hope to hang onto. What happens when things become just a little more complicated than a high school romance was meant to be? Will you succeed at winning his heart that you didn't know you were chasing after? Will you and Chiaki be able to save your friends? Will Nagito be able to save you? . . . This book takes place during the Despair Arc and later books continue in chronological order of the series installments. (A oneshot) Danganronpa 2: The Switch
-Discontinued- Rated: M for Mature (There was an attempt at drawing a cover. I messed it up. Oof. It's what it is lolz) (Spoilers for danganronpa) Description: you know how Hajime is suppose to be in the reserve core and Nagito's parents are dead and rich. Let's switch that. Hajime lives with his brother Izuru in their parent's mansion as they attend Hope's Peak Academy. Hajime has stage three lymphoma, but Izuru who has frontal lobe dementia. Izuru's talent is classified as Ultimate Analytical Prowess and Hajime's talent is classified ironically as Ultimate Unlucky Student. Nagito is the one in the Reserve Core and he can't prove that he has a talent, but he is sure it's Ultimate Luck. (He just can't prove it. Which might be good luck for him) Nagito's parents alive, but poor and Nagito has to do odd jobs as he's attending school. And by chance one of those jobs is being house maid, that leads him to meet Hajime and Izuru. That's literally the whole story summed up for ya. (Also Hajime is kinda mean he just kinda jaded from all the misfortune he's had to suffer) So... Komahina and KamuKoma Definitely. ;3Complete
