Jay West used to be an ordinary guy, hanging out with his friends, worrying about college, and having teenage problems. Then, on his sixteenth birthday, everything changed. He could suddenly do things that he never could before, and somehow, his blood had been replaced by a glowing blue liquid. He had to change schools and go to a new one for metas like him.
Then, Jay's family is attacked...and he fails to protect them. Now, his old life gone, he tries to avenge his parents. But when he discovers that the attack on his family was part of a bigger plot to kill him, will he be able to do what he couldn't before?

The publicity and pressure that comes with being a superhero would be too much to handle right now. But it's hard to fly under the radar, when you can literally fly. Meanwhile, Vinicus Cauldwell enjoys the power he has as Murkbourne's most feared super-villain. For once, he can sit back and relax without being pestered by the police. That is, until Max arrives. Vinicus isn't happy about having to fight a child, but he can't let Max find out. After all, super-villains can't be "good people"... Can they? We can't all be born heroes. Now the world seems a lot more dangerous and secrets about Jays origins are being revealed. Prepare for a roller coaster ride of lame one liners and painfully awkward adolescent behaviour, along with bromances and romances, breakups and make ups, and even some cliché superhero behaviour, villains who hold a grudge, and really dorky super suits. This original story draws inspiration from my childhood and teenage experiences. It also draws inspiration from media I'd enjoyed when I was younger. This is Chapter 1. The Beginning. On his first day in his new school, fifteen year old Maximillian Hunter finds out that he's not as alone as he'd earlier thought. However, darkness lurks in every corner. *** Maximillian Hunter, the son of the famous ex-actress Julianne Hunter, has a simple problem. High school. The problem being that this teenage boy, for varying reasons, just can't seem to stay put in one school. A part of the reason being that fitting in is not a thing that Maximillian Hunter has ever been good at. After all, there is nothing quite like Maximillian Hunter. A Guide to Being Super
Every city has its claim to fame and for the city of Cytropolis it's their superheroes. But unlike the cities of Gotham and Central City, this isn't a good thing. Cytropolis is known far and wide as the city with the clumsiest and least influential superheroes ever. But it never mattered that much since the super villains were just as bad. That is, until recently when the villains decided to smarten up and open a super villain academy to train the newest generation (something that never occurred to the heroes). Luckily for them, Matt Miller has arrived. He may seem like an average, normal (even bordering on boring) seventeen-year-old boy, but when are things ever what they seem? He may be apathetic and bitter but he has super powers and he's kind of, well, powerful. He's the heroes only hope against the newest villain in town, Sinister Shadow, and he has no choice but to lend a hand (but he refuses to wear tights while he does it, he draws the line at tights). But not this time. This is a new story. The Life of a Villain. Part 1: This is a story about Leonardo Sutton a.k.a Knifeslinger, an 18 year old villain out for revenge for his family's death. He goes undercover at Ravenswood Academy where he meets new friends and old friends, and an evil plot that could shake the world.
