prelude
As I stare into his eyes, a familiar vision plays in my head.
His hands caressed the inside of my thighs, kneading his rough fingers against the skin. The shivers spread through my body as his hands inched further, slowly descending towards my heated core.
Standing before me, is the man who has been plaguing my dreams. A shiver is sent through my body as his eyes lock onto mine.
"I don't need a mate. Especially a weak human." Despair makes its way up to the surface, but I quickly regain my posture. Telling myself to stay in control, and ignore the burn of rejection, I keep my head high as turn my head and turn to walk away. Penny stares at me with horror in her eyes, but I only give her a stern look. A look that let's her know not to make a scene.
Human? I'll show him fucking human.
Sara, a half demon and half human, is best friends with the happy go lucky human, Penny. Despite Sara having an enormous strength and demon abilities, Penny doesn't fear her, unlike the rest of the supernatural world. When Penny is the reason the girls' paths cross with a lycan pack, the unlikely pair is met with an usual situation unfathomable for both the human and the demon. After all Sara had always assumed a lycan's erasthai would be someone of the same fucking species? If there's anything a lycan hates, it's a demon. Why? Because demons smell like humans, making them seem like easy preys for the unlucky lycan. And now Sara had to be near a pack of them?
The outcasts of their pack, Dylan and Casey meet the mysterious Grey who breaks the rules of mating practices by being their third soulmate and change their lives for the better, but when there's a chance they'll lose Grey, Casey must accept his destiny as the Alpha of his pack before everything goes up in flames. Literally.
*****
Grey Weathers thought he was going on a relaxing vacation with his "friend with benefits" pal, until he walks right into two people that seem like the perfect couple, Dylan and Casey. What he doesn't know is that this couple are actually mates. Dylan and Casey are a couple of werewolves and their instincts are telling them that Grey is more special than he knows.
Grey finds himself in the middle of family drama, bloody secrets and a plot that would like to see every supernatural creature wiped from the face of the earth. All this is a lot to deal with, especially when he's falling in love with not just one, but two people. Could they be falling in love with him too? Is that possible? To fall in love with someone like him?
