Uplifted

As in a lot of Science Fiction the earth is only a recollection. But for Neff, a recent survivor of the nuclear winter, that memory is a fresh and painful one. He was sent out, in a pod, to become a pioneer of a new planet far away when things went wrong. Instead of ending up in a newly settled colony his pod took him far far away from his family and the hope that he could live quietly and peacefully. And its a long road until he can make it back to his family, and to hope.
