Sonic is plagued by nightmares and as he wakes up from another nightmare, he tries to escape the horrors he keeps remembering. As Sonic reaches an open field, snow covering everything around him. Shadow makes himself known, showing Sonic that everything is going to be just fine.

Shadow has always hated Sonic's guts. His stupid face, stupid smile, stupid voice, stupid everything! He's always been nothing but a pain. How could he be so carefree and relaxed all the time when it feels as if all of Mobius relies on him? Shadow struggles to find peace as he has constant nightmares and thoughts of his past. He lost his only purpose, Why was he even here? Why did he have to be created if all he's ever brought is pain and suffering to those he loves?
