willow dean dashwood had always hated eddie roundtree, and vice versa. she'd like to blame it on some weird chemical imbalance that had occurred suddenly during the girl's childhood, but deep down she knew why. he was cocky, and he was arrogant. and yet when she looked at him, no matter how much she tried not to, she could only focus on the dimpled-riddle smirk he gave her while he was practicing with the band. willow was a lot of things, foremost a writer and guitarist, but she also liked to believe she wasn't utterly stupid. she knew of eddie's debilitating crush on camilla monroe, but had decided to ignore it, and listen to the stupid little lies eddie roundtree made her believe.

Honey Hartz wanted nothing more than to be somebody, not a somebody, THE somebody and that's exactly what she was. •••• It was never easy surviving in the 70's, especially being a woman who wanted more in life than raising children. It was hard decade for most, but Honey felt like the world was out to get her. She was a young girl who wanted to pursue her passion as a singer, which didn't rub well with others. It was odd to see a woman expressing herself, especially while doing something that didn't involve men. But when Honey decides the housewife life isn't up to par, she chooses to take her future into her own hands, as she travels across the country to pursue her music career in the booming city of Los Angeles. There, she meets a man named Teddy Price who makes her an offer she can't refuse, but it comes with its downs, having to improve and work with a unknown band called, 'The Dunne Brothers' The hard-ass lead singer gives her a run for her money which would have usually angered her enough to tell him to eat shit (she did) but it was as if something was holding her back, and she suspects it's the tall brunette with enchanting brown eyes that she longs to stare into until the end of time: but she also happens to be the lead singer's wife.

Though the characters in this book bare the names of real people, a lot of the actions are made up for entertainment only. This story should not be used as a biography or used as facts about these characters. I respect all of these people and their lives.** ~~~ The main character, Ivy Ashford, is a made up character. However, her nick name (Poison Ivy) and her looks are based off of the female lead guitarist of The Cramps. I am not basing Ivy Ashford off of the real Poison Ivys life or personality. I just think she is beautiful and her name is really cool so I am using her as inspiration. I respect her and her life as well. The title of this story, Hot Wire My Heart, is the title of one of my favorite songs off the Sonic Youth album "Sister". I would recommend this album to anyone who enjoys alternative rock. If you already knew this song or album, please give me all your information so I can meet you because I already know we will be best friends (I'M KIDDING PLEASE DON'T SEND ME YOUR INFORMATION.)
